(I know I missed it last time...)

I have a garlic tonic recipe from the West Ladies that I want to try...I think it had honey in it, like your Recipe #2 has, and cayenne pepper, also. That's got to be quite a kick! I don't think I'll take it Sunday morning before church (wolf-breath!!!)...

{{{HUGS}}}, my sweet friend!
LoriIllinois Lorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04823043316393624821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3148788601596226747.post-66254228914557286242011-09-20T12:57:13.613-07:002011-09-20T12:57:13.613-07:00Sounds like you are truly keeping busy. I'd never heard of it until I read your blog post. So, do you just take it like medicine, or do you put it into some of your daily food supply? Just wondering.

I forgot that you are doing that craft fair. I saw the blog post where you made all those candles, but I just didn't comment, wow! You surely have been quite busy with getting ready for this fair. I hope it proves to be profitable for you as well as fun. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3148788601596226747.post-26779287070215357232011-09-16T10:54:30.870-07:002011-09-16T10:54:30.870-07:00I appreciate your research, Mary. We made a tonic ...I appreciate your research, Mary. We made a tonic last year, actually, it's called "Super Tonic" (got the recipe from Nutrition 101, our science text) which included cayenne or habanero, ginger, horseradish, onion, garlic, and apple cider vinegar -- it was terrible, YET it was affective in helping through cold and flu season. I should make up a fresh batch for this year. I think I'll try the garlic syrup, too.

Happy blanching, freezing, canning!

Blessings, ~LisaLisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14760735212107263086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3148788601596226747.post-80168611494200517842011-09-16T07:54:33.512-07:002011-09-16T07:54:33.512-07:00O.K., so the reason we use it most is for cold and...O.K., so the reason we use it most is for cold and flu season and we shouldn't be getting that close to one another at that time anyway... germs you know! ;)

Blessings, Debbieno spring chickenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15772761727295689298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3148788601596226747.post-59662447774394538942011-09-16T05:57:20.230-07:002011-09-16T05:57:20.230-07:00Yeah! I also love Jewish History and spend time learning the customs of the day to fully understand the Word also. Since my Savior was Jew, it is just wonder to see how He revealed Himself to them through so many customs and feast.

I just finished "Surprised by Grace" and had the book of Jonah opened up to me in a new way...which is leading to more research and time in Jonah....that has been a joy.

Thanks for sharing your list...it has been a fun post to read each person's list.

Thanks again for this...I am going to copy it off now.
