I had finally got up the nerve to try the weekly wrap-up when you stopped ;)

I think I've seen the complete tightwad gazette at Sam's club....you probably don't have those up there, tho.

I'm going to have to give that sour dough bread a go.......Eric LOVES sourdough!

Are there orchards up there where you could glean crops at the end of season for little to nothing? That might help you reach your goal. I've heard of others doing that.

Happy Spring time! I'm sure you'll be throwing open the windows soon.

TracyKidcrazehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13438948653040817682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3148788601596226747.post-14950226567543023822011-05-11T18:26:31.290-07:002011-05-11T18:26:31.290-07:00Oh I use to have the Tightwad Gazette....that was ...Oh I use to have the Tightwad Gazette....that was back in the 80's and even got a newsletter through the mail if I remember right...time to pull it out again..everything old is new again.

I came here to look at your bread recipes and I was craving sour dough and here you have it on your post today, oh my thanks!

What an awesome goal on growing most of your vegs...I can't imagine. The caterpillars have attacked my dill...so they are being used for science to see if we can get them to the butterfly stage....so no dill. The rest is moving along slowly, but never enough to do much with...one strawberry at a time...LOL

Blessings....from this city girl and her small patch of land.Janettessage.blogspot.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01262598732466380229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3148788601596226747.post-51528208278943620702011-05-11T13:24:52.700-07:002011-05-11T13:24:52.700-07:00Mary,
I enjoyed reading your daybook thoughts.
...Mary,

I enjoyed reading your daybook thoughts.

I could literally only dream about growing 95% of my veggies. When you live in Suburbia Land like I do, the backyards are way TOO small for planting anything. I wish you the best with that endeavor.

I could hear the "groans" in your words when you mentioned that you had to soon dust the library, ugh. I've got some dusting to do as well. Dusting makes me sleepy, so I don't like to do it very often. :)

Well, I don't want this post to turn into a book. Take care dear friend.

Blessings,

-L. Not only is it fun to read, but it also really does FOCUS you for the days ahead.

I love what you said about not being nervous and just starting the sewing. That describes me whenever I have a sewing project. I am such a cutting coward.Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05671482394424988047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3148788601596226747.post-40053646890366439762011-05-10T21:27:11.976-07:002011-05-10T21:27:11.976-07:00Glad to see that you're back online! I'm so ...Sounds like a full week for you Mary. I'm so glad nice weather is finally here. Our tulips aren't near opening yet...but maybe after the next couple of warm days.

Yes, Sally is now 5 miles from us, but she doesn't have a local phone number or internet yet, so we are rarely in touch... hopefully that will change next week.

For the time being, they have their church at a community center in another town. Currently, my DH, for whatever reason, likes it at our church, so there we are. We will be visiting Sally's church from time to time to support them, but will not be switching to their church. I am looking forward to visiting them at their church this Sunday though.PlainJanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00748315137944685936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3148788601596226747.post-58234271405848200562011-05-10T09:41:13.482-07:002011-05-10T09:41:13.482-07:00Sounds like a good week planned.
