Oh Mary! Red on white Psalms... and that yarn! I could be very happy to add those things to my own blessings list! :)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Debbie
I love the cross stitch, very nice. I like your list too. I actually picked up some crocheting last night. With my new camera & my VBS work, crafting seems to have gone out the window. I'm trying to bring it back in. :)
ReplyDeleteJoAnn
Mary, you're *doing* a lot of *doing* today!! :)
ReplyDeletePeppers--I'm just as shocked as you are! I spent an hour out in my back yard, weeding, fertilizing my tomatoes, and watering. I happened to bend down and notice cayenne peppers ALL OVER my three little plants! Totally unbelievable.
I also picked two full-sized jalapeƱos, and a bunch of little ones, because my gardener friend Becki told me that if I pick a lot early on, the plants will produce even more later.
We've had cool weather this week, too, which my snap peas loved. I'd never tried growing them before, but am definitely planning for them again next year. Most of the snap peas I pick never make it into the house. I just wipe them a little a pop them into my mouth. Mmm!
I hope your garden starts growing and growing--here's to warmer weather! (Though it's supposed to maybe hit 100 tomorrow...)
Love to you today!!
Christine
Beautiful yarn, please let us know what you decide to make with it.
ReplyDeleteHas it been cooler than usual in your part of the country? We had a cool, rainy spring and even the summer so far has only had a few very hot/humid days (which is o.k. with me as I don't like the heat). This holiday weekend is suppose to be hot and humid though so who knows... My garden has plants that are doing well and some not so much. I hope your garden is successful this year. :o)
The yarn, the cross-stitch, the joy of doing things with your hands. Total Bliss :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way...42? Not bad dear friend...
Love you,
Maria
Happy early bday to you, sweet Mary-Girl! And happy bday to Noah...a teenager, at last :-D
ReplyDeleteLovely cross-stitch...I need to get started on my stitching, too :-)
Gotta get packing for camping, I'll be in touch Tuesday again!
Love and {{{HUGS}}},
Lori
Right now...
ReplyDeleteI am looking at your cross stitch and thinking about a grandmother who made beautiful things for me and how much I wish I didn't have two left hands, each equipped with five thumbs.
BTW, I will happily pray some sunshine in your Canada direction!
Wow Mary! Such lovely things you do!!
ReplyDeleteI really love the colours of the middle skein of yarn.
BTW.."chook" is what we Aussies call hens and chickens.
My other blog is called "Country Chook and the Woodman" because hubby makes timber furniture and I am no longer a 'spring chicken - my kids have all 'flown the coop' lol!
bless you, dear friend..Trish
Love this!
ReplyDeleteI hope it warms up for you all and you have a bountiful harvest.
Mary - I hope you'll share a photo of your lovely cross stitch project and whatever you decide to create with those wonderfully colorful skeins of yarn when you're finished. A blessed birthday to you! ~Lisa
ReplyDeleteHi All,
ReplyDeleteThe top pic is the current cross stitch project. I think the two skeins on the left are going to become socks I think. I will probably exchange the two on the right. I just can't imagine myself in those colours.( British Spelling) I was told by the gift giver that I could before I even saw them.
-Mary
I enjoyed reading your thoughts today.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, it's not so bad being 42. I should know, because I'm already there, ha, ha! :)
Mary,
ReplyDeleteI'm admiring your red stitches on linen.
42 is young - and it sounds like you are living it to the fullest.
The lilac and spring green hand-dyed yarn looks scrumptious. I'm looking for something like it to make another frilly scarf.
I so enjoy hearing our birds as I garden before breakfast. It is hot here now. I hope your veggies do well.
