It is that time of year and I am starting to feel the stir to gather all I need for my craft fairs and get working. ( one fair in Sept. and one in Nov.) I am ordering supplies and gathering what I have to make my gourd candles ( I personally casted my own molds) , rhubarb and rhubarb raspberry juice, and fudge. And if I can...I will make some beaded work and knitted booties too. I am sorry I couldn't find any pictures of my rhubarb juice but once I do I will post a picture. So if I seem a bit sparse here on my blog please just know that I am busy as a bee and I will post and visit as time allows. Plus I need to get ready for homeschooling the boys, getting the house ready for family showing up for my MIL's wedding at the end of the month and all that entails everyday life and the garden. I am not posting this to say look at me!!! I am just letting you know if I am a bit absent I am a bit occupied. [o=
Here is some pictures of previous years candles and fudge.

I know what you mean! My holiday bazaar vendor contract arrived in the mail a couple weeks ago. It's difficult to turn my attention to bazaar prep when summer is finally here and there is so much to do in the garden and with getting ready for school to start. Life is full and wonderful. Can you imagine being bored? Having nothing to do? I didn't think so. :)
ReplyDeleteYour candles (beeswax?) and fudge look wonderful. And I'm curious about the juices you mentioned. I hope you have time to share pictures with us.
Happy prepping! ~Lisa
How fulfilling, how awesome, how wonderful...the business of our hands brings such blessings and abundance...enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteMary....those candles are just gorgeous!!! Take your time dear friend :)
ReplyDeleteLove you,
Maria
Those candles are beautiful and I wish I could reach that fudge! I havr decided not to do any craft fairs or shows this season. I am just not motivated enough to get anything done. Good luck and have fun!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Mary! Wish I could come to one of your craft fairs, sigh. Stay busy as a bee--the Lord provides!!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Christine
Your candles look wonderful and so creative! (Your fudge looks yummy too, but I'm trying not to focus on that. ha!)
ReplyDeleteI WISH our temperatures made me think of craft fairs. I have to get that fall feeling to get the craft feeling.
How much fun is that? You are so creative. I know as my little ones get bigger, I will have more time for creativity too. ;)
ReplyDeleteOooooo does that Fudge ever look yummy!

Hi Mary! I think your candles/craft fair posts are some of my favorites. There's just something about the crispness and colors of autumn, and the crafts you make reflect that.
ReplyDeleteDear Jesus, please would you allow a way for me to visit Mary in Canada, or for her to visit Chicago? I would be so blessed by that, if You would. Amen :-)
Love you, Mary-Girl!
Lori
I love those candles! I would buy some if you lived a lot closer. I hope your craft fair goes great!!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't aware that you could make candles! They look gorgeous! I love the orange-yellowish color. Looks like they would be perfect for autumn time. :)
ReplyDeleteYour fudge looks great too! I'd be too tempted to make something like that in my house. I may eat too much of it, ha, ha!
Blog when you can. I'll "wait" for you. :)
I never realized you were a candle maker. Yours are awesome and unique. I've never seen a gourd candle before!!
