I will give you a glimpse into what has been going on inside of me and what the Lord has been teaching me. (with the bit of fun of these videos) I love how God created me to hear from him deeply through music and even more if it has action. God spoke through the songs at the vacation bible school week at my church during this summer. I was in charge of the jewelry class and got to hear and see the songs the kids were learning. The first song hit me the strongest. It showed me that I was too caught up in fear. I knew this but was paralyzed. I needed to hear that I needed to stand firm and know that God is in control. So simple but hard sometimes to take to heart. As you know from my posts the last few months that I have been struggling with taking this message to heart and fully believe it. I was not fully leaning on God and knew it needed to be changed. Through these songs and a few other things the Lord was leading me to read He got through to me. My heart is at rest ( most of the time) and I am thankful. So I hope you have as much fun listening to the songs as much as I did. Take the time and let the songs sink into your heart and soul. Simple words but so powerful.
Hugs dear Mary!
ReplyDeleteI am sure you are fighting your fears with the sword of Scripture. He has not given you a spirit of fear, but a sound mind. I'm reminded of Hinds Feet on High Places and dear Much-Afraid. Such a good allegory for us all.
Enjoyed the music! Thank you for sharing.

I have but I need to write down them and have them near when I start to get caught up in those nagging thoughts that are from the evil one. I looked that book up and hope to get it one day soon! I think I will ask for it for a Hanukkah gift this year. It looks good! Thank you so much for mentioning it. [o=

He is bringing you back Sweet Mary from that place that kept you chained to fear. Remember that fear is not from HIM. But you know this Dear One.
ReplyDeleteMay Our Lord bless you today as you prepare for that much anticipated trip :D
Love you,

What a wonderful post for me to come back to out of my blogging hibernation! Stay strong my friend! God IS in control -- even when we're afraid. My go to verse: Psalm 121

Oh dear Mary! Me too! I struggle with fear that leads to anxiety and then I end up making myself sick with worry. I have had victory lately, though. I know this is sin and I am not trusting God. I will pray for you!

ReplyDelete(((hugs))) oh the grip of fear is hard to overcome. I will be praying.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comment. I will be in prayer that you and your husband will light the fire of romance. I know mine had nearly gone out but it feels good to have it lit and sparkling again.
Blessings on your upcoming vacation, too!
I so enjoyed that music! and thanks for the reminder....God is in control!
ReplyDeletePTL for all that He has been teaching you and blessing you with! In these last days it is all too easy to be gripped with fear. I keep my eyes and my heart fixed on the coming Kingdom, knowing that this world is not my home, and my citizenship is in Heaven, and that is all that matters. I'm so glad you are doing better, and that He is your all-in-all!
