With cool weather, sipping warm Earl Grey green tea, feeling cozy in my sweaters and long denim skirt. I am slowly plugging away at my Sock Yarn Slouch Hat. I never knew how long it would take to do 50 rows round and round and that didn't even include the ribbing, lol. Actually I did. I knew that this would slow me down and I wouldn't need as many projects by knitting in such a fine yarn. I am getting very excited I am only about 6 rows away to starting the decreases and soon I will be able to wear it. ((happy dance)) Yes, I will model it once its done. Till then I will keep sneaking in knitting time in between meals, slicing apples and lessons with the boys.
Happy Friday to y'all!
It is really the only way to get our love for our crafts, done!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend my friend :D
Maria
Such pretty colors, Mary-Girl! Can't wait to see it :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm up to my eyeballs in a really confusing college app with Nathan, it gave me a headache last night that I'm still feeling this afternoon, UGH! But I am looking forward to getting back to making hexis (did you ever finish yours?) SOON!
Much love, and can't wait to phone visit!
Lori
Oh, it's going to be so warm and PRETTY!
ReplyDeleteIn many ways, I think the projects that I have to (or get to) sneak in between the course of my day or week are my favorites. I look forward to them so much.
ReplyDelete(Too bad my current project isn't the size of yours but of a small car... )
So glad to see your progress and that you found a bit of time to be still and enjoy a bit of "Mother Culture!" :) Blessings, ~Lisa
ReplyDeletesuch pretty colors, Mary. can't wait to see the finished product.
ReplyDeleteOh so you are going to wear a hat!!! Now I will put on my fruit one from Barry Manilow.
ReplyDeleteThis is cute. I use to take things with me to all the music and sports lessons/practices. I even got a lot of reading in during all those taxi cab driver days.
This is cute...can't wait to see it finished.
Hi Mary - thanks for stopping by today. I definitely know have a kindred spirit it when it comes to wisdom with frugal living. I LOVE stopping by to see what new project you are knitting - love the sock yarn - can't wait for you to model your latest creation!!

Earl Grey is my favorite tea! I love the colours of your slouch hat. I bet it will be really pretty on you. I have a hat just started on the needles, but I can't seem to get any farther than that.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Deborah

It may be slower going but I love the drape of sock yarn in a larger garment. Can't wait to see your hat!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Debbie
It looks nice. I need to slip in more crocheting time here and there too. :)

I always enjoy seeing your knitting projects and this one has such pretty yarn. Can't wait to see the finished product. :o)
ReplyDeleteHope you've had a good week. How's the weather in BC? We've had rainy but warm days here in S.Ontario but the sun comes back by the weekend. October has been a beautiful, warm month but I know colder days are ahead.
I've read that these style knitted hats are all the rage. Looking forward to seeing its completion. I'm nearly finished with an indoor scarf in finger weight that I've been knitting in snatches for a good while. I can relate.
