Challenging are the times when mama and others are sick and there is so much to be done. Does life carry on? Yes.
I am thankful for willing hands of help. I tell myself this will help my sons in the training of being a good future husband and father. One day they will need to help even when the call gets challenging. To be able to love others when they are sick. Thank you Lord for this opportunity for them to grow into the men they need to be.
I have to share today my favoritelaundry soap recipe. I have been making laundry soap for some years now. When I came across the White Silk Purse Laundry Soap recipe, that was it. It was the only recipe that I wanted to make from then on. What I also found out is to make your clothes come out really clean is to... load your laundry in the washing machine, fill with water, put your Tablespoon of WSP laundry soap, soak for a few of hours or overnight, and then wash. If you can plan to have it soak over night or all day it works the best. Once again this is such a money saver. It works out to 1.7 cents/load ! Click on the picture if you want to get the recipe. I hope you have some fun saving dollars, nickles and dimes.

This is one of the best videos I have seen on this subject. I highly encourage all woman and girls from 4th grade on to watch this. Let the Lord be your plumbline. Let the Lord lead your heart to how we dress for others and ourselves. The part that they said the church didn't talk about modesty I see that happening in a lot of churches. I have to admit the one I go to now hasn't addressed this subject either and wished they would. Food for thought and please no one leave any mean comments. God Bless.

I have been so sweetly asked to start up my Tightwad Tuesdays again and I am so happy to oblige. For the first come back post I would like to share and really encourage others about the No Poo ( shampoo) method. I did it for quite awhile and loved it and then I for some wierd reason I got out of it. While I am encouraging you in this I am kicking myself to get back to it too.
Go HERE ( and this is a picture of her and her hair after using the no poo method) to find my favorite recipe
To make this recipe, that really does works, costs pennies! It really does work belive me. Just remember to give your hair time to transition. Hints on transitioning go HERE too. Now if you have another no poo method please leave some links in the comments of what you have found useful. I know there are different kinds of hair and some different kinds of recipes. Also if you post a Tightwad Tuesday mention it in the comments so others can visit you.
When I went down south in September I scored when I bough this yarn on sale at Jo-Ann's. My mom had several 50 % off coupons so I was able to get enough wool to knit my Handsome a sweater for $15, boy was I a happy camper. I am now 75% done and only have the yoke left to do. It is a sweater that is knitted in the round from the bottom up. The pattern is Jarod Flood's "Cobblestone Pullover" and you can find it HERE.
This sweater has taken me a bit longer to do than I expected. I am learning a new technique... short rows.
Yes, knitting in the round, in garter stitch, with short rows stumped me. But I have now frogged ( want to know what in that world does that mean go HERE ) the yoke and I am starting it again today. I am telling the boys to please let me sit quietly in my knitting chair ( rocking chair) for the afternoon and knit quietly, with no interruptions. Okay, I will allow them to interrupt if someone is hurt, the house is burning down, or some other emergency. [o;
Hope you all have a Super Saturday and Happy Knitting!

Oh, I have so much to write and share with what the Lord has been teaching me this last year. Warning, if you ever ask the Lord with a sincere heart to to lead and guide you, He will! That is exactly what the Lord did for me in 2012. I had so many questions and really needed some more direction for my continued " Journey To Better Health". The real challenge was to try to keep up with what the Lord was showing me. I was just reflecting a few days ago how this has been a long journey but oh so worth it. To be able to say that I am 95 to 98% better is so good to be able to say. Yes, I promise I will be sharing what the Lord showed me. One thing at a time I promise and I will do my best to share it all with you. God is so good all the time. All the time God is so GOOD!
I hope this coming year to start again and continue to share what I have and am still learning. I also want to write in this book (via my blog) of my days and all the many facets of who the Lord is shaping me to be. One day may be just thoughts, one may just be pictures and other days will be both. Yes, truly I feel the Lord has brought me out of my cocoon and I am now ready to fly.
I have had a blogging tradition for a few years now to post a snippet of my year of blogging. The rule is to post the first sentence only (and a picture from the post if you want) and see how it flows together. It is always so fun to see how it turns out each year.

September
I know I have been absent for a long time and have been sparse all this last year but I have a reason for this absence.
I was going through my craft patterns last night and found my notes on how to dye wool with food coloring or Kool Aide.
Once again it was so much fun to get a over all glance of my blogging for the year. If you end up doing this let me know and I would love to come and read about your year at a glance.
