Day 1 of 40 Day Health Experience

Yesterday was my birthday and knowing I was about to start my 40 day Health Experience... I splurged quite a bit. ((blush)) But now I am starting a new day with new beginnings. [o=

This morning I made a red pepper, onion with oregano and Chia seeds omelet for breakfast. (forgot to take a picture sorry) And I will be making a tuna veggie salad with sweet peper and carrot sticks on the side for lunch. Dinner will probably be steak with a veggie salad.

I am hunting for meals that hubby and I can have that have no potatoes or grains so if you have suggestions, recipes, or sites with lots of recipes I am very open. There are a few requirements though and here they are...

...basically natural, unprocessed fruits and vegetables. Meat, poultry, and fish choices are allowed if they are organic and free-range and follow guidelines set forward in the Old Testament (i.e., poultry must be non-scavenging birds and seafood must have fins and scales).

Thank you!

This looks delicious :) I'm still suffering from migraines and praying for His guidance to finding a solution.

  3. Your new diet sounds great! I definitely need to get on a better diet. I've been letting my poor eating habits slip for too long, and it's starting to "show" in all the "wrong places" on my body, ugh! :(

Well, let me know when you find the recipes you need and please share them with us!

  5. Oh my! Does the book have recipe suggestions? Wish I could think of anything other than grilling meat and adding fresh veggie sides. Blessings to you both in the coming 39 days (and more)! Looking forward to following your culinary adventure, ~Lisa :)

  7. Yum! I don't know if I could go that long without grains. I love my bread! I need to do something with my diet, too. Getting older is hard!

I'm off to continue browsing your blog!
