Celebrating!

I am celebrating 42 years of life today! :b-day I have come to a point of starting to feel some renewal physically and spiritually . I have some hope of better health and growing closer to the Lord in this coming year. Starting tomorrow my hubby and I will start the 40 Day health experience by using The Maker's Diet. I am a bit nervous but not too much. Why? Well for 4 weeks we will not be eating grains and starches. For me this will be a BIG adjustment but thankfully at Day 29 we can have some organic whole grains and potatoes again.h.dance If you think of it please keep us in prayer during this time. I really want to do this fully and not give up. I really need a jump start in my metabolism and detoxify. I am nervous but excited at the same time. I will update each week how it is going plus some of the changes we are making in our new way of eating and such.

  2. Happy Birthday dear Mary!!
I hope you have a wonderful day, my lovely friend!
I am very interested in finding out how the Maker's Diet works for you.
I've got the book but haven't tried the diet, though I should do something to improve my health too!
I know going off grains can be very good for many people who have problems with gluten or wheat.
Well, you enjoy your special day, Mary :-)
    God bless you real good!!
    love..Trish

  3. Happy Birthday to you! I will have to look at the Maker's diet and see if it has some fun ideas for Tom Sawyer. There are so few grains that he can tolerate.
    Blessings,

  4. Happy, happy, happy birthday my friend! Well wishes with the Maker's Diet. I am hoping to get back on track tomorrow. The camping was not too bad on my eating and I did a lot of hiking. Again, happy birthday to a really dear lady!

  6. Happy Birthday! another year is a gift from God. I have enjoyed visiting your blog very much. I was tempted to try your sock pattern but it looks too complicated for me I think....with the swirl pattern. I am knitting little cats right now, which was a learning experience but so rewarding. One cat done, 2 more to go...for my two grandsons, and their little Russian summer friend. Have a nice day!

  8. Happy Birthday! May your coming year be full of sweet blessings.

Are the boys eating on the diet too, or just you and Handsome?
It would be very hard for me to go w/o grains.

I'll check my recipes and see what I have for you.

  9. Tracy,

It is only Handsome and I who are doing the Maker's 40 Day Health Experience. I am actually finding it pretty easy so far. But I am only done with the first day so far. [o= I pray it continues this way.

Thank you all for keeping your eyes open for me.

    Blessings and ((HUGS))
