Week II of Boot Camp

This is a picture from the top of the water line.

I can see why Teresa Tapp calls it boot camp. Now, don't get me wrong it isn't horrible it is just pushing me. Not every story has the same results and not everyone looses inches in the first week. For I am one of them but I have noticed some really neat changes this last week. I am noticing my stomach ( which is my main trouble spot) is changing shape and I am toning up and getting stronger all over. On Sunday my sweetie and I went for a hike up the waterline. I wasn't really looking forward at first because there is one really steep area that REALLY challenges me. But being a good wife I went without grumbling. I was sooooo surprised when I was walking up that steep section that I wasn't huffing and puffing like I tend to do. Yes, I could feel my muscles working but I didn't even stop once for a break to catch my breath! I am hoping to start seeing some inches fall off soon but I am seeing a difference and I like it. Now, just as a comparison I have to say that I have done months actually a couple years of different workouts and my body hasn't had any major changes. But I have been doing t-tapp for about two weeks and I see changes! So, I have to say that I am becoming a happy camper in this boot camp. [o= I will keep you posted on Mondays (or Tuesdays depending) .

  1. Oh Mary, I am so happy for you :-D

You are moving - your muscles are getting stronger. This is definitely the best years of our lives. We are getting healthier and stronger.

My body is changing also. No T-Tapp like you, but my eating is so much better, and my middle is shrinking...you can not pinch an inch anymore! yay!! :)

by the way, call me tomorrow after 1pm - my time.

    love you,

    Maria

  2. I'm anxiously watching you, just so you know. I checked out the link to the Tapp thingie. I'm so tight right now that I want it but put it on hold. I am hoping that you have such a WOW success story that I can bite the bullet without guilt and buy it.

    Go Mary! Go Mary!

  3. Mary, such good news! I'm so happy for you in this, it is NOT the "shape" that is as important as the underlying health...and your hike proved that you are better than before! The shape will come...focus on how good you're feeling first for motivation :-)

    {{{HUGS}}} and love,
    Lori

  5. Good for you Mary. Yes, I need to get back at it again and start all over again with Boot Camp, but lately there has always been an excuse...lately I just haven't been home and right now my asthma is extra bad, but I am hopeful that perhaps later this week I can jump back on board.

    Keep up the good work!!!!

  7. What a good report, Mary, and how encouraging for you! I'm not familiar with the t-tapp routine but this is a great recommendation.

I'm so impressed with the positive changes you've made in your life in recent months--good eating, exercise. You're so inspiring, my dear! God bless all your efforts with success.

    Blessings,
    Wendy

  8. Hooray, Mary!!! I'm also learning that it is not the numbers on the scale but big things like being able to walk up sand dunes. We can do this! :-)
