Cute As a Button ( pincushion)

With life being so full of finishing up the school year and getting the garden in. My stitching was put aside and when I had some time I was just too tired to stitch. This last Saturday I said that was is it. I needed some art therapy and sewed up my pincushion and picked out fabrics for future sewing projects. I found the instructions at my friend Debbie's@no spring chicken blog. So here it is....

On Sunday I started knitting in circles again, my socks. I just love these socks. Socks are a great way to knit in the summer and not have anything lay on your lap and get you too hot.:knitting

  1. Oh Mary, socks have not been easy for me...all the needles just get a bit tangled! :)

By the way, thank you for this morning. My friend just left, she brought me dishes - yay!! and the boys' evaluation letters :-)

I felt so blessed...your phone call and a visit

  3. What a cute pin cushion!
I think a friend of mine may have recently contacted you about homeschooling. I told her your name and she said "I think I already talked to her!" Small world!
    Have a great day!

  4. This is what I love most about blogging! I thought it was just going to be fun journaling on the computer. What I wasn't prepared for was a network of new friends!

Your pincushion looks great! Easy huh? I wish I could say the same for those socks of yours. I love to knit but that many needles in my hands feels like an octopus!

    Have a wonderful afternoon...

    Blessings, Debbie

  5. The pincushion is adorable! I have never knit socks...but would really like to. I may have to give them a try! Right now, I am making my second batch of your yogurt! We really liked it! I am making 4x the amt you do though...cause we go thru a bit more than your household, I guess! Thanks for the recipe - it is great! Now I will have to look up your sock pattern and see about making up socks!
    Thanks, Mary!
    Have a grand day!

  6. I like the pincushion! I just finished a craft project I've had in my head for over a year...I needed to get my physical space organized, and that finally freed up my artistic/creative side! Oh, it felt so good! I'll be posting it in a day or two...

    Hope we can chat tomorrow!
    Love and {{{HUGS}}},

  8. Mary - That pincushion looks like a perfect project for my ten year old; I'll have to visit Debbie and get the instructions! And I have to agree with you about knitting small projects in the summer, but then, I like small projects any time. :) Thanks for sharing, ~Lisa
